Today is our 11 month Gotcha Anniversary on the 11th!
It's so hard to believe that in just one more month, we will be celebrating our 1 year Gotcha Anniversary!!
Sarah Lu, aka "The Princess", just had to get another princess dress! Now, in addition to her beautiful blue and pink Rosella from Barbie as the Island Princess dress from Jie Jie Rachael, she now is the (very) proud owner of a pink Genevieve from Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses dress! Ever since she got it a few days ago, she will not take it off. Each day we have had to find coordinating outfits for underneath the dress so she will stay warm. She wears the dress wherever we go... yesterday, she even wore it to Walmart! Literally, she will not take it off! This little princess is absolutely in love with her new dress!
On another note, tomorrow is the little princess's second appointment at Shriners with the cleft team. It is always really fun to go there, everyone is so nice and helpful, the visits really turn out to be quite fun for everyone! Last time, Sarah charmed the entire cleft team in the final meeting at the end of the day. We were meeting with all of them together, and Sarah decided to make herself perfectly comfortable at the table with about 10 doctors. She sat down in a chair and just threw her little feet up onto the table! Needless to say, everyone at the table started laughing. Sarah Lu totally ruled that meeting! So, we are all very much looking forward to tomorrow! Sarah is glad she gets to see the "Hao" (Good) Doctors (because they don't give her shots), plus their play area is pretty fun. :)
My mom opened her email this morning and found this picture!! Our friends in China sent it to us from when Sarah was in foster care. Isn't she just adorable? This picture was taken a few months before she came home. She is two years old. I guess now we understand why she adores playing in sand so much!Sarah Lu has been learning about Moses. She now has a new favorite phrase, with a few steps...
Step 1: Climb up onto your little table.
Step 2: Make sure you have everyone's complete and undivided attention.
Step 3: VERY enthusiastically yell out, "LET MY PEOPLE GO!"
Step 4: Immediately following, calmly say, "Says Moses."
My mei mei is such a cutie!! :)
When we met Steven Curtis Chapman in September, he said to Sarah Lu, "Hi, my name is Steve!" Since then she has remembered "Steve" and whenever we listen to SCC's music we tell her, "Sarah, it's Steve singing!" Then she gets very excited that her friend Steve is singing the songs! Only recently she has begun to associate almost all singing music with "Steve" and when she wants it louder she just yells out, "Steve- Louder!"Above is the picture of Sarah Lu hugging "her friend, Steve", aka Steven Curtis Chapman. :)
