That is so awesome that you want to go to Haiti. Haiti is definitely up there on the list of places I want to go (top 3 in no order are Ethiopia, Haiti, and India). This summer is the DR, but next year for sure is going to be either Ethiopia or Haiti. Not sure if you have seen these blogs, but if you are interested in Haiti, you must check them out. They are the blogs of missionary sisters currently in Haiti: http://www.xanga.com/no_Im_not_a_nurse http://www.xanga.com/haitinurse4life And then there is this awesome family, the Livesays, who lived in Haiti for a year or two (not sure on details) and are going back in Jan. Scroll back to the old posts to read about their time in Haiti. http://livesayhaiti.blogspot.com/ As for fundraising- it is tough!! I can do the book thing because I know the author (he runs Hero Holiday). For other fundraisers, I suggest trying a Cafe Press shop (every little bit helps). I just booked out the entire floor for bowling and they were really helpful. There are so many ideas out there. Once you start planning your trip and need fundraising ideas, let me know and I will go into more detail! Nikki
My name is Staci and I'm 16 yrs old. I am one of the proud big sisters to "Sarah Lu", age 3, adopted December 2006 from China and soon "Chayah Ru", age 5, coming home late 2008.

Cute! I remember trying to catch raindrops (and snowflakes) in my mouth when I was little.
