BFF time: Sarah and Zoey!

To see more pictures of our time at this State Park, go on over to the dog blog!

We got our TA!!! After 94 long days of waiting, the call came that we had our TA (Travel Approval)! It was such an exciting day, knowing that we now had TA and would be in China getting Sarah Lu so soon. We made our travel arrangements and a little later on December 5th, we left for China! It was also on November 20, 2006 that we were able to share photos of Sarah on the blog as we were not allowed to until we got our TA! It does not seem like a whole year ago that it was our wonderful TA day... Now Sarah has been home for almost an entire year!

So... Does anyone notice the new look? It is thanks to my (and Sarah Lu's) big sister, Rachael. I just LOVE it! She did such an amazing job on it. Doesn't it look absolutely beautiful?
It says "Connected by a Red Thread", for those of you that don't know, Red Threads are a very big theme in China Adoption. There is an ancient Chinese proverb that says, "An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break."

I also want to wish Happy Birthday to my Dad!!!! Sarah Lu was so sweet, she sang Happy Birthday to her Daddy after announcing, "Daddy, I have a special song to sing for you!" It was SO sweet! Sarah had also picked out a special "Happy Birthday to Daddy from his Little Girl" Card, she "signed" her name and then "wrote" "Dad" on the front of the card, as well as drawing a heart and a potato on the front. (I have absolutely no idea where the potato came from, but she was convinced that it was the funniest thing in the world!) Then, she made the card absolutely perfect by drawing a heart on the back of the envelope and sealing it shut with a kiss for her Daddy! (The sweetest thing is, Jie Jie Rachael has just put pink lip gloss on Sarah, so when she kissed the card shut, you could see where she kissed it!!!!)

And, I just wanted to give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Caitie and her family! They got their LOA yesterday to get sweet Sarah "Gracie", as Sarah Lu calls her. :) Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! Words cannot even express how thrilled I am for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll have Sarah Grace home soon!!!! And once you do, I cannot wait to meet her!!!! ;)
